The First Four becomes a twelve-game Opening Round — the twelve lowest-seeded automatic qualifiers and the twelve lowest-seeded at-large teams, played on the campuses of twelve of the top sixteen seeds. Twelve winners join fifty-two byes to make the field of 64.
